Schild & Vriend

'Schild en Vriend' is an old Flemish battlecry, used in the rebellion of the city of Brugge against the French, May 18, 1302. Legend tells that it was used to differentiate between the French-speaking (who could not pronounce 'schild') and Flemish-speaking citizens. Nowadays, historians tell us that it was probably 'Des Gilden Vriend'.

Tin Soldiers Antwerp

TSA is Belgium's biggest wargame club, based in Antwerp. They play just about every period imaginable, and organize a yearly wargame convention called Crisis. This year's crisis will take place in Antwerp on 5 November (more information on their page).

Stipsicz Hussars

The club with the highest profile domain name and most unpronouncable club name. A very nice site of a bunch of wargamers who put on some of the biggest 25mil Napoleonic games this side of the Channel. Catch them at Crisis.
